Hi there! My name is Ronke Sokunbi. Thank you for taking a moment to look at my site. I hope that you'll enjoy what you see!
To tell you a little about myself and my goals, I have been in the learning and development sphere, in-person and virtually, for eight years. I stumbled into training back in 2016. Now, I can't imagine doing anything else! I have seen firsthand the benefits of having a strong, diverse training program that caters to the needs of many. I've come to know the different ways people learn and the various methods that can be applied to impart that knowledge. I've helped other trainers better themselves while improving my own skills. |
I know the difference a well thought-out, engaging training program can make to learners and to a company as a whole, and I understand the importance of having a program that speaks with the learner--not at them.
With my experience over the last eight years, I now aim to focus on implementation! I can't think of a more gratifying way to utilize my skills. I want to help all sorts of companies become more efficient by assisting them in implementing the best products, tools, and software. Though I am new to the implementation aspect of learning and development, I feel confident in my skill. After perusing this site for a bit, I hope that you will, too! I also occasionally wear a shark suit. |
More about MeI was born and raised in Chicago, Illinois. In 2011, I escaped the tundra to study English Literature at the University of Miami (Go 'Canes!). I also minored in Modern Languages with focuses on Spanish and Japanese, both of which I still speak conversationally.
Part of the reason I studied English Literature is because it fascinates me when a writer can engage the audience through words. When creating training material, I try to engage the reader, too. I studied Spanish and Japanese because I find communicating and connecting with others invaluable. I also visited Italy for the first time in the summer of 2023 and was so disappointed I couldn't chat with as many people! With a little bit of resourcefulness, we were able to understand each other. Flexibility and adapting communication proved to be incredibly important during my travels, and I find this especially true when it comes to training. Now, I reside in Chicago and work remotely with my very helpful cat assistant, Mochi.
